James Hampton was hired to help us locate a good spot for us to build our new house on Browns Hollow Road just outside of Tracy City. With a minimal amount of top soil cover and a good deal of rock ledges pocking out of the mountain top we were skeptical if we were going to find a spot that would allow us to build a two story retreat with just an acre and a half of space to probe. We are pleased to report that James was able to locate a good site and dig out a basement pad for my husband and I in preparation of the delivery of our building kit. Thus we want to say how much we appreciate what James has already done for us and how hard his crew has worked over the last several days to get us to the point we are at in this quite involved endeavor of building a new home in Marion County with all it's Building Code requirements.
James was able to help us find a great building site with as much of four to five feet of top soil before we hit a layer of sand stone, which still required a great deal of breaking out of the rocky mountain-side, but the coordinated effort of three or four of his men and machines working simultaneously have got us to where we need to be in short order. We especially liked the fact that they all worked right up until sunset to hold down the cost of renting the Rock Breaking Equipment, and then returned very early the next day to finish up this particular part of the job saving us a lot of money. They competently finish-up digging out the site, burying the City Water and Underground Electrical lines and Septic Tank, before grading the entire building site in order to lessen the chances of any erosion problems in the following weeks as we awaited building inspector approval, the delivery of the foundation wall system and the housing kit. Simply put we have found Mr. Hampton's demeanor and the work his crew has done a blessing and are looking forward to his crew completing our house.
