Nice, well kept and easy place to steal off and "get in tune w nature (secret code)" ;-)

There is a small playground with a sandy area. Places to swim with concrete steps leading into the water. There are several boat ramps to launch kayaks or canoes from.

Had this on my list of places to go and went here randomly while family and I were out. I had come across coke ovens and a little history about them was wanted to find some. When I saw them I knew we had to stop in here. This place is full of them. I didn't expect to see so many of them. There are easy to walk trails that run all throughout the place it seems, and many of those take you right through and around the coke ovens. Many of these are worn by time and erosion, many are buried with nature taking over and several are in tip top shape to get a real good look at.

Beautiful. Trails & park well maintained. Nice swimming area & little children play areas. Lakes have nice fishing & canoeing. Highly recommend.

Quiet lakes with a few benches and places to BBQ. Not the best park in the area but worth stopping by.

Beautiful place with a lot of history. We participated in a Ranger led hike which was very informative.

What was really nice were the picnic tables. Concrete and spread out throughout the park. There were many that sat by the water, even saw one that had a sort of private way down to the water to swim after a picnic. Overall this place is beautiful in the winter, I can't wait to see it in the summer.
